I think the modern world has made culture a LARP.
Back in the day, culture and traditions were not just symbolic things but actual necessities needed for survival. For example the western culture of no hats indoors was to stop the spread of dirt from hats or something indoors, but now its unneeded and only symbolic. Same with the tradition of monarchs, they lead the nation back in the day but now they are only symbolic.
All across the world we literally live the same lives, if we think about the most essential survival parts of life, its all the same, be born, go to preschool, then go to school then go to university then get a job then retire and live off pension then die
The same industrial modern ratrace cycle, everyone lives that life no matter what culture or nation, im from mongolia and im pretty sure we live a similar life to americans now
Wake up in the morning, get stuck in traffic, go to work, live paycheck to paycheck, pay rent , the survival parts of life are all the same
The same couldnt be said like 300 hundred years ago, americans and mongolians lived completely different lives and their cultures were a survival mechanism, like all the nomadic traditions here were genuinely needed now its just a costume, the americans genuinely needed their gun culture to protect themselves from indian raides and british persecution
Culture is purely a costume not a way of life in the modern era, but for immigrants/diaspora i guess it really is a survival mechanism as culture is supposed to be because it unites communities in a foreign land where immigrants struggle to adapt to

But I think it's deeper than that still, they don't want "them" to have """culture""" either but at the moment it serves a useful purpose to further degrade westerners into more animalisitc, immoral and controllable states. I fucking hate it, values ingrained into culture for thousands of years suddenly fade away after ww2 and everything is so globalised that most western countries lack unique parts of their culture or identity. Nobody bothered to pass anything down.
