the other day the biology teacher was trying to explain the pH scale. Decreasing 1 point on the scale on the acidic side means there are 10x as many hydronium ions in the solution. I think the appeal that this site has to autists comes mainly from its anonymity and equality. Everything feels like it’s presented for you on a silver plate, while on other platforms it feels like you are consuming from people with a higher position on said sites. There is also no exact theme going on like within a subreddit wich leads to people spamming buzzwords based on contact debt to get a higher "morality" score wich usually only works because soiglucks are a homogeneous group reacting to those buzzwords with rage. You could say Soiglucks aren’t inherently smart but if they are they don’t really obsess over it. i’m autistic but unfortunately also have dyscalculia which is the math equivalent of dyslexia. i have had outstanding grades my whole life on anything that is NOT math related. in high school i couldn’t do any of the math given to me and my learning was neglected because the teacher couldn’t comprehend that my brain cannot comprehend numbers. i had to repeat second grade because of my inability to do math even with outstanding grades. i have gotten awards and exclusive scholarship offers due to my grades. the thing is, when i was getting diagnosed with autism and tested for shit that wasn’t autism (late diagnosis, i was 15) an iq test was required. when my diagnosis was finalised it gave me what percentile and age level i was at within my skill set at whichever subject. with math, i had the capability of a 9 year old where as all of my other capabilities were that of a 32+ year old. my iq test came back completely inconclusive due to my math inability. iq doesn’t mean shit

to add to this - i am 18 now if that matters. i have written code without any knowledge of such, i completely taught myself how to write an automated password hash code cracker using public databases. i used youtube tutorials to get the basics down of nodejs and used my general knowledge of tech to make it. i used absolutely zero math. i used it to hack into old virtual world game accounts and sell the items for irl money. i crashed the log in system of the game because of how fast it was checking to see which cracked accounts were valid. it was awesome

im not that old, but I remember using it as small child. Im actively using computer from like age of.. 2? 3? I dont remember exactly. Even before i learnt to write or read human language I was already able to use PC easily by just memorizing buttons and key-sequences that I need to press to get what I want.
