The internet as a system in and of itself is a very good thing, but it just happened to be born in a fake and gay time period, so naturally it's main use is fake and gay things.

>>77973i think internet access to the wider public was a mistake and should only be reserved for government officials or atleast in education, it just reveals how retarded the average person is since they mostly use it for slop entertainment and political discourse

>>77975The early internet functioned well because it basically had a built in IQ test. You would have to be somewhat in-the-know to get things working. So in that way, it was reserved for a select few.

It’s probably even worse. Imagine living in a village and knowing 20 people very well. That alone prevents you from making rash generalizations; maybe you don't even dislike a single one of them (This often leads to a radical political position and lack of critical thinking because your group seems homogenic doe). On the internet, it’s different ev&doe echo chambers become more & more a thing on mainstream algorithmic platforms. People we wouldn’t even notice are the loudest here or on other toxic sites like Xitter or Plebbit. Something that shouldn't actually plague us, now does. For me its easily the 1000 stupid micro details i witness this shit is haunting me. I have to say, though, that the internet is my only empirical view of the world, and it’s not a good one. However, it is also nice to observe people because you could never do that in real life where everything is superficial. Unfortunately, this also leads to a lot of weird types who, due to a lack of real contact, think they are intelligent because they lack actual exchange. The internet is simply not comparable to real life i would actually even say that it's the central plaza of people who don't function normally or who simply don't want to function normally."

It fucked me up. I'm shit at talking to people in my language because i was on it 24/7 which made me more isolated(or maybe im retarded). I was exposed to porn when i was like 8 or 9 (i think i fixed my porn addiction so its not much of a problem anymore).
On the other hand, I made 3 friends on the internet so its ok for me now.

>>77971 (OP)worst invention of all time, you shouldnt be allowed to access the internet until youre 18

>>78067one thing i have to say is that is there are plenty of ways to make money online which im sort of glad exists, and makes communicating much simpler and easier
like you could sell some shit to the entire world or start some community across the world (for example this site…)
however i think life without instant access and having to worry about viewing of literally trillions of data, would make living a lot simpler and would probably reset the dating market to local standards, plus not to mention globalisation wouldn't be as easy

I do enjoy it very much. I like it, it has taught me many things as it is indeed very handy when it comes to learning. I know many "nerds" for the lack of the better word curse Internet becoming mainstream, but to be honest I don't worry that much about normies having access to it, since there will be still places like ours.
>do you think your life would’ve been much different without it?
I sometimes cope that if it wasn't for the Internet I would spend more time studying and reading books rather than spend all my free time on 4cuck and soyjaks, but it is probable that I would have found some other thing to waste my time on.
