yesterday, i had a small fallback with gooning.
it was just once, and it happened out of me testing myself with what i got epi'd by. i know how retarded that is
anyways, i was wondering if that'd be any major setback with rewiring from it.
i also want to make sure i'm staying off the degenerate path i was on, as i want to keep making a change after the mistakes i've made.
<
this seems like a dumb thread to make, but maybe some of you can give me motivation and information on this

Not really too much to say, you made a mistake and you shouldn't do it again. Its not a major setback and don't treat it as one because you'll end up beating yourself up about it and relapsing out of self pity. Just continue nofap like it didn't happen.

If you want tips I say when you get the urge distract yourself with something else, for me I play clash royale until I lose a game. Also don't even entertain the idea of gooning, ideas lead to urges which lead to actions, so try your best to push the thoughts away.

aye thank you for the reply, yeah it doesn't seem like a major setback since i haven't really had any urges after it.
there was a tiny relapse i had 2/3 months ago too, and it played out the same way in that i didn't feel like going back.
maybe that's some sort of a sign i'm building up immunity to it? either way it seems like i'm getting good at managing it, so that's pretty motivational
>Also don't even entertain the idea of gooning, ideas lead to urges which lead to actions, so try your best to push the thoughts away.
trvke, i have a problem with being inside of my own head a lot. i should try to find more distractions

No problem ‘teen, I’d imagine that even if you do relapse again it would be even further spaced out and you’d eventually get over it. I know some would disagree but I feel personally once you get over porn and you’ve gotten out of masturbating as a habit (rewired your brain) it’s ok to bust a nut every once in a while (NOT TO PORN DOE).

well said, it certainly gets easier to deal with and i have to agree that porn is the part that's the most unhealthy.
i'll keep staying away from it and see how things go

You should stop thinking about it like a streak. It's the reason this NNN bullshit doesn't work, since you know when you started and constantly obsess over not breaking your streak, which makes you think of porn, which makes you masturbate.
If you're still new with this NoFap thing, try and be more gradual with it. You can try to go cold-turkey, but odds are that you will fail. Instead, start masturbating without porn in the shower. The reason gooning is so addictive is because porn video is a thrembillion times more stimulating that your imagination or still images. Only using your imagination gives off less dopamine and makes it by extension less stimulating and easier to stop.
After that, you can try and slowly increase the gap between the days you masturbate. If you feel like you have the strength to stop masturbating altogether, then go for it.

half of it is you hyping the negative effects up in your head
other half is because porn isnt natural

this is a good point, it works better for me when i simply forget about it. that seems to be the best way to do it
>>77935
accurate, stressing over it can make it worse

 â„–77938[Quote]

This might sound basic or like something you’ve heard before but it has helped me.
If you relapse don’t think of it like tripping and falling all the way down the mountain to where you must start all over again, but rather as a stumble off a pathway from which you can recover or a few steps back which are easily made up for.
God bless.

you don't have to worry about it being basic, that's actually a great mindset to take. thanks

I've been off porn before for a few months, doing nofap (October and November 2023), later easypeasy (latter half of 2024). I practically went back to watching porn in 2025, and I found it's mostly a think of mindset.

I forgot exactly how I relapsed, but I know it was partly of curiosity (read: cope). I've been watching 90% hentai (mostly on R34) since I was 13 or so (I'm 20 now).

Like others have said, don't think too much of the relapse. And what I found out is that you have to give yourself an intrinsic reason why you shouldn't jerk off. For me it was the idea that I'll have a bad relationship once I get a girlfriend and I'll objectify her if I keep watching porn. That has worked for a few months, but I kinda stopped caring about that as time passed.

i've been taking it well, and that's a good way to put it. it definitely depends on your approach
>I've been watching 90% hentai (mostly on R34)
geg it was like that for me too, though i had moments where i wasn't being careful enough with what i gooned to with R34 and hentai.
while it can make me feel shitty thinking back to it, it gave me a good reason to stop. it shows that having an intrinsic reason helps as you've said
but thanks for the post, i'm leaving off a reply to show that you haven't wasted your time with making it as i'm still here and looking at this thread
