I actually despise being here, I have nothing in common with the average poster (tall, girlfriend, workout and a decent job) yet for some reason I can't help but want to feel included in this sites culture, I find it funny and cool how something so unique can exist, I show people I know soyjaks and they find them funny too, so I know I'm not the only one.

But I am a normalfag, I always will be. I don't dislike that at all, I'm content being one - But I just don't get how this site can attract me when I have nothing in common with anyone here apart from I find soyjaks funny?
>reddit space
No arrow because this is me in gif related

Being normal is good

I'm totally fine with that, I was just wondering if theres any 'teens who can relate?

I'm trying to become a normalfag like you, I'm getting better overtime

You come back because of the gegs people create here (that is my reason actually, but i will project it onto everyone else anyway)

The average participant of a fringe community online being a loser is a misconception. A lot of us are introverts and don't socialize much, but for plenty of 'teens it's a choice rather than fate. I work, go to college, had a previous relationship, and have a lot of money saved in my bank account for someone my age coming raised in a below-average income environment. This doesn't make me 'normal' but rather just indicates responsibility and discipline, even if I have a lot to improve upon.
<
I'm not a normie because I choose to interact with them as little as possible. I don't enjoy the company of most people nor do I like them at all. Despite this mindset, I still had achieved everything that goes against the archetypical obese basement-dwelling NEET. It's likely that you aren't a normie like you think you are; you likely have political views beyond the Overton window (considered extreme), have dark or crude humor, and possibly only get along with specific subsets of people. That could just be me projecting, but I think that person is who this website attracts.
<
The NEET loser archetype doesn't apply so well here compared to other fringe communities because of the nature of the website. The culture of the website is built off contrarianism. Whilst every other community is usually centered around some kind of media, or at the very least, doesn't disavow it, the culture here is strictly against overindulging in media. That's the entire purpose of the soyjak: it makes fun of you for lacking responsibility or otherwise being feminine. This is a reaction to the devolving world around us with people who willingly stay locked in their chains and prevent meaningful change; the zoomers, and soon alphas, truly want change and have developed reactionary views because of the broken world they grew up in. Because of this, the average age of the sharty userbase is much younger than most other imageboards. The millennials aren't attracted to the anti-hedonistic, crude, yet puritan mindset of many zoomers.
<
All of that is to say: the sharty appeals to zoomers as a whole, especially the growing reactionary alt-right. Most of us still have our lives ahead of us and don't match the archetypical 4chan user, as most of us are actually relatively normal in terms of functioning in society.
<
I'm happy for you that you have a girlfriend and good income 'teen.

You must be a non-virgin!
Good riddance if you quit this place. We don't need people like you here.
