Hmm the way I manage to make friends is usually to point out something they’re doing that I also like. If I saw someone drawing I’d go up to them and ask what they’re drawing. Obviously you might get unlucky and get someone that doesn’t want to talk, but in my experience people are usually happy to see someone interested in their activity. It’s a risk you need to take imo.
