I'm worried I might be schizo since I sometimes see and hear things that aren't there and get random feelings of intense paranoia and a few times I've even felt bugs crawling on me and people touching me when there's nothing there. one time about a year ago I saw a tall black shadowy figure come out of a hole in my bedroom door and tell me it was gonna kill me, it was like it was speaking inside of my head but I could see it in real life, I was really scared and just sat on the floor and cried until I fell asleep then I woke up really cold in the middle of the night and went to sleep in my bed, I've only told my best friend and my girlfriend about this stuff and they both joke at me that I'm schizo, my girlfriend has schizophrenia so she doesn't judge me or think I'm weird but my friend does, to be honest doe I think that experience with the tall shadow thing was actually a demon and not a hallucination but this recent stuff feels like it could be a sign o algo

Feeling like being touched or like bugs are crawling on you are common symptoms of schizophrenia. So is hearing voices and seeing figures. From what I understand, your brain is trying to make too much sense of the world, so it perceives things like voices to what would otherwise be innocuous noise. I think you should seek a diagnosis

I randomly hear family members call to me. only to find out that they either didn't, or weren't in the house.

After a while, I chalked it up to sleep deprivation though
But, I've noticed that I've had it happen after a good eight hours.
I've only ever seen a shadow creature once, though. It started slowly materializing in the corner of my eye, but when I looked at it, it had molded into a faceless version of my older brother. It vanished into a poof of black smoke a second or so after gazing upon it.

I wouldn't look into it, it might be sleep dep.

had another thing happen last night, around 11pm when I was trying to fall asleep I heard drums beating inside my walls and it was very strange, it reminds me of about a month ago when I heard an elephant screaming outside my window evendoe I live in the east coast United States, I also heard dogs barking this morning when I was in class and my school is nowhere near any dogs or anything, to be honest its just a bit annoying at this point, I don't even ask other people if they hear these things too because they're just gonna stare at me like I'm crazy, I don't think its sleep deprivation since it doesn't only happen to me when I'm tired but it is more often, if I am schizo then I don't really care that much since its not that intense and my girlfriend is schizo too so its not so bad

I'd refrain from telling people and just focus on distinguising whats real from whats not, the delusions will affect you more if you think they're real
Except for the touching I've had most of these and am fine now

even if you have just a small psychotic episode you'll be addicted for life
