you can either use gimp and create (duplicate) several layers of the black sun, with each layer rotating a bit. minus is you get linearly more work for framerate so if you want it smooth it takes time
so for longer/thicker gifs you can use kdenlive intended for video editing in which you can select effect transformation and rotate it by 360° from the first frame to the last, minus is youthe result may be bloated and grainy, idk why
