Seeing the word keyed made me go down a little thought tangent. The word keyed is basically a replacement for the word based. This is because the word based became mainstream, and sharty culture + those in the same sphere want to stay distant from normies.

I think this parallels with how high culture has always tried to differentiate itself from the masses. Historically, the masses would always try to copy the cultural norms of the elite/aristocrats, because then they too could get to associate with this group. But the key difference, is that the masses were too retarded to actually comprehend the significance of the cultural practice, and instead used it for the sake of being “cool”. This would then degrade the norm, in which the aristocrats would eventually adopt a new one.

Secondly, when was the last time that a meme or phrase had been popularized by the redditoids or progressive groups? I can’t remember. And the reason for that, is because these groups are the lowly masses with no creative abilities or skills, and they can only indulge in what we create. People in the soy sphere have never adopted retarded meaningless shit parroted by the masses, but the masses, which hate us so much for being too keyed, seem to always adopt our culture.
