>>898223you know, i used to think that your tripcode was "ed won", referencing edward from that fpe animated music video. it wasn't until a few weeks ago that i learned who 2ed1 is

>>898243why do you hate digital art doe i feel like its made art more accessible and cheaper
β898251[Quote]
>>898247>why do you hate digital art>i feel like its made art more accessible and cheaperIt has globally reduced the artistic quality of art because of that, it also poorly translates to physical mediums
β898254[Quote]
>>898251informative
feel like you're right on the first bit
closest thing to traditional art i will do is probably sketches on paper i dont really have much lol
ive seen some really cool shit made digitally doe
β898256[Quote]
>>898254>ive seen some really cool shit made digitally doeThe only digital art form I respect is 3D modelling and 3D animation because it requires a very high degree of effort and translates perfectly between real and digital

>>898271I find 2D to be too restrictive and simple

>>898272Go 4d i draw tesseracts when i have some spare time
β898275[Quote]
>>898272How good are you at portraying your ideas on 2D?
β898278[Quote]

Do you like line out how to carve the rock with pencils or no?

>>898256my phone died before i could see this
>translates perfectly between real and digitalmarge it doesn't?
you can't modify vertices in real life
you can still see lazy slop made in 3d every now and then
clay models and real life figures like sculptures take too long to make, unless you've got some crazy motive
β898281[Quote]
>>898275I can draft designs for blueprinting but my 2D skills are quite bland
>>898278Sometimes
>>898280>>translates perfectly between real and digital>marge it doesn't?It does, it's practically an easier form of stop-motion for 3D animation
β898282[Quote]
>>898281>It does, it's practically an easier form of stop-motion for 3D animationyeah but you'd still need to learn how to actually do shit with the clay models or whatever you use for the stop motion because digital 3d stuff is insanely different from using real clay models
there's shit like using invisible things to make space or have something in the air
you'd also still need to figure out how to do face stuff i dont think you'd be remaking the entire face every time
β898285[Quote]
>>898274i didnt read this
i thought people stopped doing that lol
β898290[Quote]
>>898285There was a guy repairing the masonry outside of a building I work in frequently (I am a plumber) and I was blown away by how good it was. It wasn't a sculpture or any pretty brick work but the work he did was beautiful. It looked like there wasn't any damage on the stone to begin with, no visible mortar or anything, it was an amazing restoration. That's what impresses me, that's a real art. He said he does a lot of work on Churches and I think his hands must be blessed. He might not know it but his work is a glorification of God
β898308[Quote]
>>898306why don't you just practice how to steady your hands
β898313[Quote]
>>898306my hands aren't steady either, i think its something to do with me but oh well
i got better at controlling it and now i can sorta draw with a mouse and i can draw better
can't say my drawings look good though
β898323[Quote]
>>898285>i thought people stopped doing that lolStopped doing what? Stonework? It's practically a dead art now because casting technology is just that good
