I liked Titanfall's artstyle the best, it had really good texturing instead of trying to make everything raytraced to oblivion and the visuals weren't obtrusive which made the game still competitive and fun. Compare that to Apex Legends' overblown, oversaturated color schemes and obtrusive HUD, and its an obvious downgrade

>>834516im looking at titanfall again and i still think it doesnt have much grit to it. it still feels and has that "plastic" appearance.
<perhaps its the ray tracing? i really dislike the constant usage of making everything reflective.

>>834509 (OP)>Fallout 3 Graphics? No. Atmosphere? Absolutely.
>Cod Mw3mw2, hell Cod4 has more appealing graphics than any nu cod

>>834523i do too
I mean Gears of War 1 from 2006 has more appalling graphics than
most of these nu games. Just compare it to reloaded.

>>834521this screenshot is nice. it makes me interested in the game.
>>834522also replying again to this post, atmosphere is such an important thing that has been forgotten. i could honestly say that fallout 3s graphics are nicer than fallout 4s because fallout 3 managed to use its limitations to its advantage. the texture resolutions and graphical limitations they had to work with allowed for a developed grit and a unique ambiance that makes it truly defining as a video game. fallout 4 attempts to recreate this with modernized graphics, but fails because they cannot develop an ambiance; their game ends up looking cartoonish compared to Oblivion/3/FNV

>>834524remasters always fail because of their inability to capture the essence of older games. a direct problem that is immediately noticable is the dissolution of graphical elements that made the game what it is.
<a good example would be the Oblivion remaster. the old Oblivion was vibrant with colors aiming towards a fantasy feel; the new Oblivion attempts to reach towards the perception of reality, while sacrificing its charm and beauty.
