You see, I've been publishing a comic book for a number of years now called The Cheesed To Meet You Mouse. Yes, publishing a physical booklet, going out to about 200 people. I get paid roughly 400 dollars per chapter, which is pretty decent if I do say so myself. There's stickers, too!

Anyway, the comic is about the aforementioned mouse who is cheesed to meet you, and he runs a braphog ranch and likes to rape. I created him in 2020 before I even knew about the Sharty and before Rapeson existed, so he was kind of like Rapeson before Rapeson.

HOWEVER, this year I was so engrossed in running Save The Bull that I put off finishing up the year's comic volume to the last second, and now I'm rushing to get everything done. Truthfully, I don't know whether I've already exceeded my publisher's deadline ("mid november at the latest", whatever that means) so I may be pulling all nighters working on this for no reason.

But if you're asking how long, it depends entirely both on the complexity of the page and how lazy/perfectionist I am. Could take really long, could take really short. For most of today I've been procrastinating and 'jakking instead of working on the comic geg. I really shouldn't be doing that with how little time I have.
But I guess usually about an hour or two if I'm actually being diligent and undistracted?

Without having read much of homestuck, I'm free to tackle the storytelling and art in my own way without being influenced by precedent.
As Orson Welles once said:

I think it’s very harmful for movie makers to see movies because you either imitate them or worry about not imitating them. You should make movies innocently, the way Adam named the animals on the first day in the garden."
That's the approach I like to take when it comes to art.
