this morning, i got distracted by cloudflare going down and forgot i had a bus to catch until 3 minutes before it arrived
i threw my shoes on, sprinted to the bus stop and actually made it there just in time
but right as i was about to get on the bus, i remembered i'd left my ID card on my desk at home
i wouldn't be let into the building without it so i walked back home

after picking up my ID card, i checked google maps which said the next bus would be in 15 minutes
so i walk back to the same bus stop and wait for it to arrive
sure enough, a bus arrives at the time google maps said it would
i get on, scan my bus pass, and take a seat

after about 10 minutes, the bus diverges from the route my usual one takes
so i take out my phone to check this one's route and i immediately see my mistake
since i was in a rush, i didn't check which stop i needed to wait at for the later bus and assumed it was my usual stop
turns out it wasn't my usual stop and this bus i'd gotten on was the wrong one

i got off at the next stop which was also a mistake because it ended up being shit nophono cares fan village where the buses run once every 3 hours
so i just walked the 5 miles back to my town from there
it was actually a pretty nice walk, i think i should go on walks more often

hilariously cloudflare was still down when i got home
