Okay new concept.
No waifus, per se, but instead me and my platonic male best friend (also my wingman) go and pick up hot females.
You see, I've recently remembered that "a person having a type" is a real concept. Therefore us men, look for women that we like whether it is ravens, brunettes, blondes, ebonies, or asians.
And basically all women are really the same 2bh so there isn't a point in having a singular waifu, instead it benefits the plot to NOT have a waifu but just various hookups and a coin flip chance that I have already screwed a girl already—makes for an interesting conversation, you know, before I screw them
