We have, in the last few months, experienced literally historic lows of quality. The small amount of self-moderation we relied on, people having some baseline taste or restraint, has completely collapsed. For years, the Party and Booru stayed entertaining because people at least tried. Now they don’t. The barrier to posting is nonexistent, and it shows. You scroll, and it’s just coal. Endless coal.

Soyjak Party is known for gems but there are subcommunities here that discuss troonslop, attempting to dox pedophiles, and underage namefags. As of the last few months, I have noticed these groups have found each other and coalesced. I have also been informed by someone I consider very trutworthy that some of these cryptids are erping in broom DMs and my requests that something be done are being deliberately ignored. I believe them.

So, I have reached the end of my capabilities. The floodgates are open. Low-effort edits, recycled jokes, zero punchlines, and yeah, way too much porn. Not even curated or funny, just dumped in bulk like that alone counts as a contribution. It doesn’t. It drags everything down with it. What made this place work was a kind of unspoken standard. You post something, it should either be funny, sharp, or at least have intent behind it. Lately it feels like people are competing to see how little effort they can put in. That race has no bottom, and we’re hitting it.

I also cannot brute-force quality into existence. There’s no tool, no setting, no rulecuck I can enforce that suddenly makes people care again. I also can’t sit here with my jannies and manually clean every thread and booru tag spam without turning the place into a rulecucked shithole. And even if I tried to clamp down hard, where does that line even go? What counts as “good enough”? Who decides? That’s not how this place was built to function.

So I mean it. What I’m asking for is simple, but it has to come from you. Stop posting garbage. If it’s low-effort, don’t hit send. If it’s just porn with no angle, keep it to yourself. If you’ve seen the same joke ten times today, maybe don’t make it eleven.
