That's sort of a tricky question, since a lot of the Argentine new-left "identifies" or "expands" on Peron, albeit as far as I know is increasingly more rare as they prefer using more modern symbols. The Peronism you're thinking of is what is denominated as "Orthodox Peronism" which is as fringe as any group. If you meant Argentinians on the sharty too I'm as curious as you are

What you said when it comes to peronism is pretty much 100% spot on, modern Peronism is just progressive leftism, orthodox peronists still exist but they're pathetic in national elections and only some provincial governs rally around its rotten corpse to justify their corrupt perpetual government in underdeveloped provinces.
Here in Tucumán it's been hijacked by a jewish sex pest (Alperovich) whose ilk stays in perpetual government by giving handouts to brown people who are about 70% of the population, their quality of life has never improved and half of them have their housing wiped out if it rains for 2 days.
