If we give /int/ a lingua franca (unifying language) aside from English which vve can add soylingo to, which should it be?
A brazilgemmie was thinking choosing Esperanto which has simple grammar but is spoken only really in nerd spaces, I was thinking Latin because it has more uses and Tvrks have an advantage in learning the grammar because it's closer to Turkish grammar, while Latinxs have an advantage in learning the vocabulary for obvious reasons. Do you want one of these two languages or have any other ideas? Pitch in

Latin is not really easy for either tvrks or latinxs thoughever, but each of the two have different advantages

Esperanto Sounds interesting, but Latin's a good option as well

In Latin, capital u is V, that's where 'teens got changing U to V from

This jewtube channel, Learn Latin with Yinba and Chudus, doesn't offer much help but it could be a good place to start from zero

>I'm almost sure I was the 'teen advocating for Esperanto
I'm skeptical of choosing Latin because it's moderately complex, has less accessible learning resources, and might be disrespectful to Catholics the fact that we're taking their religious language and adding soyboy woahjack references.

Instead of just using Esperanto, my proposition was to create a Sharty Esperantido (Esperanto variation), where we can adjust the language to our needs and gem it up with references. While it is spoken mostly in nerdy spaces, it means that the community is a fertile land for us to settle in, and it has more accessible learning resources (evendoe it's less known than Latin).
>but it's heckin Eurocentric!!!111! (not talking about you btw, this is just a common criticism of Esperanto)
While most roots in Esperanto originate from European languages, the grammar structure is not, instead consisting in combining morphemes (small word parts) to form words with more complex meanings. Sometimes speakers of European speakers cheat and borrow words from their own languages. An example of this is the use of "Aeroplano" to refer to planes when "flugtevurilo" (literally flying traveling device) works perfectly fine.
Here's a video advocating for Esperanto:

I am Catholic, Latin and Ancient Greek are sacred languages but this only is in religious uses, Latin and Ancient Greek are expected to be used reverently when in prayers, the Mass and sacraments, etc. and official texts in Latin demand authority but Latin for practical day-to-day usage doesn't demand reverence

About the changes if you were planning on changing a lot about the language Esperanto might be better for that but if it's mostly vocabulary expansions I think Latin can still work

Listen buddy English is the international language of the world that everybody knows
I don't think we need another language nobody is willing to learn

I am not religious, so thank you for your insight CristhDEITY wholesomeheart

It depends on how much other 'teens want to change the language. Adding Sharty roots and changing pre existent roots to have Sharty references would be gemmy, but we can modify the grammar to suit our needs better as well.
We just need to wait for the other /int/ellectuals to wake up and see their takes.

>everybody knows English
Falsenvke
>nobody is willing to learn
Maybe, but it would be an /int/ellectual VVIN if we managed to pull it off.

Of course, all languages are still welcome but I think having a lingua franca aside from English could be keyed

Trvke. We're not violating the Constitution since national languages will still be allowed.

We can also create new soylingo and things in languages we already speak as well, what if we bring back the Ç in Spanish? The Ç used to exist in Spanish and was pronounced as ts before it was merged with Z. For example instead of corazón, coraçón (pronounced co-ra-tson)
