>>239265 (OP)>I'm almost sure I was the 'teen advocating for EsperantoI'm skeptical of choosing Latin because it's moderately complex, has less accessible learning resources, and might be disrespectful to Catholics the fact that we're taking their religious language and adding soyboy woahjack references.
<niggerInstead of just using Esperanto, my proposition was to create a Sharty Esperantido (Esperanto variation), where we can adjust the language to our needs and gem it up with references. While it is spoken mostly in nerdy spaces, it means that the community is a fertile land for us to settle in, and it has more accessible learning resources (evendoe it's less known than Latin).
>but it's heckin Eurocentric!!!111! (not talking about you btw, this is just a common criticism of Esperanto)While most roots in Esperanto originate from European languages, the grammar structure is not, instead consisting in combining morphemes (small word parts) to form words with more complex meanings. Sometimes speakers of European speakers cheat and borrow words from their own languages. An example of this is the use of "Aeroplano" to refer to planes when "flugtevurilo" (literally flying traveling device) works perfectly fine.
