Russian Chanson, eastern analog to Jazz was born here
Heavily influenced by urban romance style, instruments of french music and a bit by jewish folk music
Still stays strong after 110 years

At one point in 19th century jews became most of the population in the city but their numbers after that only kept decreasing due to various factors like pogroms wars and a lot of waves of immigration to USA
Southern part of Brooklyn for a century now is basically owned by jews from Odessa, also another fact the inventor of Timberland boots was born in Odessa, so you gotta thank Odessan jews if you wear timbs
Odessan jews only got one good factor that most of them are not religious and dont go to synagogues
