i havent seen a guide but i will explain with supreme accuracy and candour surpassing the devs
'Jaks can be in 4 categories of places: cams (rooms and vents), hallway, doorway, and office
the hallway is just the area in front of the office that you can see down when you flash the flashlight.
'jaks in the room on the cams in front of your office are NOT in the hallway, so things can change in the hallway very quickly
'jaks in the doorway will be the next one to enter the office in the next few seconds (or instantly if cobson). only ONE jak can be in the doorway at a time
certain 'jaks will play sounds when they are in the office,
- buzzing sound: chud, imp (from the hallway), plier
- breathing: cobson
- silence: troonella, imp (from the vents)
approximate aggression from most to least:
imp
chud and troonella
plier
fingerboy
cobson
(massive power gap)
feraljak/squirreljak
- imp/swede:
is pretty active immediately except on low AI levels.
Moves along the left side of the map, and both of the vent systems, the janitor room, and the hallway.
When imp enters the hallway he advances pretty quickly (maybe only one stage i think) but flashing him with the flashlight will cause him to retreat immediately.
If imp enters the office from the hallway the buzzing sound effect will play and you have to flash him really quickly.
This buzzing sound effect is the same one that plays with chud or plier so depending on the circumstance it can be hard to know what is what if you haven't been observing the hallway.
When imp goes through the vents, he will sit in the vent door in your office for about 10 seconds before jumpscaring you.
You can either shut the door on him or flash him with the flash light.
When the lights are on, the lights will flicker as he enters the vent, when the lights are off, there will be no visual or auditory queue, so you just have to check it once in a while.
IMPORTANT to note that you can see him in the vent without the light on and without using the flashlight, this is the only jak for which this is true iirc, but this lets you shut the door on him if chud is in your office.
you should regularly be flashing the hallway, and checking the vent visually unless you are one of those people that plays with the lights on.
preemptively shut the vent door when cobson shows up to avoid getting locked into death
observe the hallway carefully and remember whos near so you dont end up flashing chud when you think it's imp or not flashing imp when you think its chud.
- chud:
not as aggressive as imp but very common.
moves along the left side of the map into the kitchen, into the janitors room, and into the hallway, can only enter the office from the hallway.
You can see him pretty far away from in the hallway like cobson, troonella and plier.
When chud enters the office it will immediately play the buzzing sound effect, if you flash him as he enters or when he first enters for a split second, he won't jumpscare you and you can confirm he's there.
DO NOT: use the flashlight (in any direction), or turn on the lights, he will kill you
DO: feed squirreljak. check the vent for imp, and shut the door on him if he is there (you cant flash him chud will kill you).
ALWAYS: shut the door behind chud. it doesn't make him jumpscare you, stops others from entering the office at the same time, and he opens the door himself when he leaves which gives you an unambiguous cue telling you that he has left and you can use your flashlight again
- troonella:
is valid✔️
is a real woman✔️
has a real (enough) vagina✔️
Moves along the right side of the map and into the janitors room, and into the hallway
Can be seen from afar in the hallway
When troonella enters the office xhe will not make any noise unless the lights are already on
Xhe will hang xerself and block your entire fucking view of the shitting ass hallway and basically ruin the game (might as well restart)
You need to flash xer a lot to make xer feel valid✔️ and acknowledged✔️ and visible✔️ then xhe will go away (protect trans kids!)
- plier:
will move around the right side of the map, into the hallway, and into the generator room. can be seen from very far away in the hallway
is a NIGGER
WILL turn off the power when imp is at your vent
WILL turn off the power when fingerboy is at your vent
WILL turn off the power five seconds into the night for >no reason at all
WILL turn off the power four times in a row giving you three cumulative seconds of breathing room
Check the generator room cam in the top right regularly (every 6 seconds or so at the higher ai levels) and if you see him anywhere in the room shut that door. keep it shut when in situations that may take time away like when you see cobson approaching the office
If he shows up to the office i dont think you have to do anything. i have no idea what he does, except to scare the shit out of you with the buzzing sound effect and then leave
When he leaves check the generator room ASAP and close it if he moved there

will attack you through the vents and through the hallway
If he enters the hallway, he will immediately fly towards you and attack you, you have to shut the door super quickly. when you flash the hallway you should always look carefully because this nigger will look like 2 pixels and then scream half a second later when you turn your head and now you are dead.
sometimes he will attack through the vents by making obvious vent banging sounds. just close it and you can re open it when the sound stops
basically be consciously looking for him every time you check the hallway and hover your cursor over the button to close the door quickly
- coalson:
usually only starts reaching the hallway at 2am or 3am on average ai levels. Multiple different stages in approaching the hallway.
the final stage in the hallway will have him next to the doorway, and will play his signature heavy footsteps sound effect. after 10 or so seconds, or after you flash him with the flashlight, he will move into the office, playing another set of footstep sounds (if you hear him move to the doorway and want him to hurry up, you can flash him to move him into the office intentionally to speed up the process).
If the door is closed when he tries to move to the doorway, he will start banging on the door training power really quickly. there's basically no point.
While in the office: dont turn, dont turn on the light, dont use the flashlight, dont close the door, basically dont do anything. You can tell the difference between him being in the doorway and him being in the office by a subtle breathing sound.
After about 10 seconds he will leave the office playing the footsteps sound effect again, DON'T DO ANYTHING until the sound is finished (5 steps every time).
After he leaves the office he will run around and go in ferals cell and not bother you for a bit.
he only shows up twice or thrice a night on average AI level, so the risk isn't too bad, but when he does enter the office, you obviously cant do anything for 10 seconds. This is a prime situation to have you run shat on by tranny, or get killed by imp or fingerboy with no recourse or way to protect yourself other than to shut the vent door preemptively.
Note: if you shut the door behind chud while he's in the office and cobson starts banging on the door, as chud opens the door to run away cobson will ENTER THE OFFICE, not WAIT OUTSIDE AT THE DOORWAY. this is because the he walks into the doorway playing the first footstep sound, you just dont hear it because of the banging, then the door opening moves him into the office automatically.

Also, new users should know that Markiplier causing the power to go off DOESN'T COMPLETELY RUIN YOUR NIGHT! You can still wait a little for the generator to make an engine noise, and you'll still be able to play… Then again, the imp… But yeah, I really wish I knew this sooner, I reset a lot of nights whenever I heard him talk about that fucking big red button, when I still had a chance to survive, were I more patient.
Also, how do you get the "SLF" achievement? What can you do in night 3 to not wake up feraljak? The wiki says you shouldn't make any noise, like opening the lights, or shutting the doors, or flashing. Basically, don't just press all the buttons all the time like a schizo with A.D.H.D., but this doesn't hold water:
You see, in custom night, with Chud, troon, Cobson, and 'plier on max, fingerboy and swede on 0, and feraljak on 1, you'd think that so long as you shut off the lights and don't make any noise, you'd win the game by going afk, but it turns out that Feraljak kills you early on… Maybe he's disturbed by 'plier cutting the power loudly?
(Also at Cob20 Chud20 Troon20 Plier20 Feral0 Finger0 Swede0 I went afk, then my game just bugged out at 5 a.m., where the lighting went weird and roblox-like, and I could see clearly. Ambient noises were still playing, and I could look around, but nobody was entering my office. Hovering over items like the lights or the cameras didn't make them light up, and they didn't work. Pressing the esc. button didn't do anything. I had to alr+f4 out of the game.
