time to cleanse the palate for today and bring you folks some real sports instead of the same ol' shit that ain't ever gonna change.

I'm playing a full season of SimLeague Hockey (NHL) on WhatIfSports for the first time, and decided to use a lineup of the Edmonton Oilers from NHL Hockey '92 (only on the Sega Genesis) by Electronic Arts.

this Edmonton Oilers lineup will be composed of:
> Line 1: Mark Messier (C), Esa Tikkanen (LW), Joe Murphy (RW)
> Line 2: Ken Linseman (C), Petr Klima (RW/LW), Glenn Anderson (RW)
> Line 3: Craig MacTavish (C), Craig Simpson (LW), Kelly Buchberger (RW)
> Line 4: Adam Graves (C), Martin Gelinas (LW), Dave Brown (RW)
> Defense Pair 1: Steve Smith (LD), Charlie Huddy (RD)
> Defense Pair 2: Geoff Smith (LD), Chris Joseph (RD)
> Defense Pair 3: Kevin Lowe (LD), Jeff Beukeboom (RD)
> Goalies: Bill Ranford (starter), Grant Fuhr (backup)
> Extras/Healthy Scratch (Press Box): Anatoli Semenov (C), Norm Maciver (D), Craig Muni (D)

> PP Line 1: Mark Messier (C), Craig Simpson (LW), Glenn Anderson (RW)

> PP Line 2: Craig MacTavish (C), Martin Gelinas (LW), Joe Murphy (RW)
> PP Pair 1: Steve Smith (LD), Charlie Huddy (RD)
> PP Pair 2: Chris Joseph (LD), Kevin Lowe (RD)

> SH Line 1: Petr Klima (Left Forward), Craig MacTavish (Right Forward)

> SH Line 2: Adam Graves (Left Forward), Ken Linseman (Right Forward)
> 4-on-4 OT [Overtime] Line: Mark Messier (Left Forward), Esa Tikkanen (Right Forward)

in other words, i'm gonna get this very last Edmonton Oilers team from their 1980s championship dynasty days one last run at championship glory. because after the 1991 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Edmonton gradually gave away all their key players except for Buchberger.

thanks and much appreciated. sim season hasn't even started yet, but I make sure this Edmonton Oilers lineup revolve around the legendary Mark Messier as that was the only Sega Genesis NHL game that had him in an Edmonton Oilers sweater.

i got some good comments in picrel. someone told me Mike Gartner, Wayne Gretzky (99), Mario Lemieux (66) and even Theoren Fleury were fast as fuck, and also said Jeremy Roenick was unstoppable in either NHL 92 or 93 that they had to make later revision patches to slow them down.

 β„–11701[Quote]

i am still waiting for at least four new teams to join the league before the SimLeague hockey season will start.

 β„–11708[Quote]

the only way Anatoli Semenov is gonna get any actual game time for this Oilers team is if at least one of Messier, Linseman, MacTavish or Adam Graves go down with injury or suspension.

same thing with Norm Maciver and Craig Muni. The only way they'll get actual game time is if at least one of Steve Smith, Huddy, Geoff Smith, Chris Joseph, K-Lowe or Beukeboom go down with injury or suspension.

 β„–11726[Quote]

actually, one person even had to add in his second team because said person is sick and tired of waiting for the league to fill up with all the teams, and i don't blame that anon for wanting to hurry up and get the show on the road.

 β„–11728[Quote]

finally, we got all the teams ready (including my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers). next step is to wait for the schedule to be generated, so that the season will begin.

i even wished my first opponent (specialone4) good luck on the very first game of my SimLeague Hockey schedule. let's see what Mark Messier, Esa Tikkanen, Joe Murphy, Steve Smith, Charlie Huddy and Bill Ranford can bring me, followed by the rest of the team (except for Semenov, Maciver and Muni) and maybe Grant Fuhr.

looks like i lost the first game. my EA 92 Oilers could only muster up 2 goals, none of which my top guys contributed.

only my main enforcer (Dave Brown) and my second line center (Ken Linseman) chipped in with the goals. Martin Gelinas and Chris Joseph both assisted on D. Brown's goal, while Jeff Beukeboom and Adam Graves assisted on Linseman's goal, which btw was a ShortHanded goal while my top D-man Steve Smith took a 2 minute penalty for holding.

and Bill Ranford got pulled in favor of Grant Fuhr. hopefully I keep Ranford in net for a few more games unless i might have to start benching him for Fuhr. I only listed Fuhr as a backup because he legit missed a big chunk of the 1990-91 NHL season for drug use.

as it stands, my point producers are:
> Dave Brown: 1G/0A/1P
> Ken Linseman: 1G/0A/1P
> Martin Gelinas: 0G/1A/1P
> Chris Joseph: 0G/1A/1P
> Jeff Beukeboom: 0G/1A/1P
> Adam Graves: 0G/1A/1P

and in net:
> Bill Ranford: 20 saves/25 shots on goal = 80.0 save percentage/5.00 GAA
> Grant Fuhr: 13 saves/16 shots on goal = 81.3 save percentage/3.00 GAA

feel free to rate my performance and how my team members (EA 92 Edmonton Oilers) performed.

once again i lost, except i almost had the game won, only for Lanny McDonald to put a stop to that.

Jeff Beukeboom and Petr Klima chipped in with the goals. Klima and Ken Linseman assisted on Beukeboom's goal, while Glenn Anderson and Steve Smith assisted on Klima's. still no production from my first line guys.

on the other hand, Bill Ranford put on a much better game than the previous one, so he didn't get replaced by Fuhr this time around.

as it stands, my point producers for the season are:
> Jeff Beukeboom (D): 1G/1A/2P
> Ken Linseman (C): 1G/1A/2P
> Petr Klima (RW/LW): 1G/1A/2P
> Dave Brown (RW): 1G/0A/1P

> Adam Graves (C): 0G/1A/1P
> Glenn Anderson (RW): 0G/1A/1P
> Steve Smith (D): 0G/1A/1P

and in net:
> Bill Ranford: 66 saves / 74 shots on goal = 89.2 save percentage (improvement from 80.0) / 4.00 goals against average (improvement from 5.00)
> Grant Fuhr: 13 saves/16 shots on goal = 81.3 save percentage/3.00 GAA

feel free to rate my performance and how my team members (EA 92 Edmonton Oilers) performed in Game 2.

man, my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers keep taking Ls, and my first line performers continue not to produce.

only Jeff Beukeboom and Martin Gelinas scored. Beukeboom's goal was unassisted, while Beukeboom himself and Kevin Lowe assisted on Gelinas' goal.

Ranford nearly had another bad game but didn't get replaced by Fuhr.

as of now, my point producers are:

and in net:
> Bill Ranford: 90 saves/102 shots on goal = 88.2 save percentage/4.00 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 13 saves/16 shots on goal = 81.3 save percentage/3.00 GAA

feel free to rate my latest performance and for the overall season so far. let me know if i need to make any changes to any of my lineups that i've originally listed all the way above, if i need to bench one of Messier, Tikkanen or Joe Murphy just to get them going on a hot scoring run.

shoutout to Jeff Beukeboom for the extra point production.

still taking losses, but at least my first line is finally starting to get something going, sort of, because Tikkanen still hasn't got a goal or assist.

either way, my two goal scorers are Mark Messier and Martin Gelinas. Chris Joseph and Joe Murphy chipped in with the assists on Messier's goal, while Adam Graves and Charlie Huddy chipped in on Gelinas' goal.

as of now, my point producers are:
> Jeff Beukeboom (D): 2G/2A/4P

feel free to rate my latest performance and for the overall season so far.

shoutout to Gelinas for coming close to tying the game at 3-3, and Messier for finally getting it going.

bad news: my top defenseman from the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers (Steve Smith) has sustained a nose fracture in Game 4, incurred in just less than a minute into my fourth game.

He's gonna be out for 6 games, so that means i now have to call up either Norm Maciver or Craig Muni from the press box for the time being.

alright, i got Craig Muni on the active roster for the next 6 games. Norm Maciver and Anatoli Semenov can stay in the press box. Steve Smith will be resting up for the next 6 games.

the losses just keep on piling up for my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers

Chris Joseph scored a Power Play (PP) goal while Adam Graves scored a standard goal. Joe Murphy and Craig MacTavish assisted on the PP goal by Joseph, while Martin Gelinas and Dave Brown assisted on the standard goal by Graves.

Ranford gets benched for Fuhr.

as of now, my point producers are:
> Jeff Beukeboom (D): 2G/2A/4P

> Kevin Lowe (D): 0G/1A/1P
> Charlie Huddy (D): 0G/1A/1P
> Craig MacTavish (C): 0G/1A/1P

I have yet to accumulate point production with Esa Tikkanen, Craig Simpson, Kelly Buchberger, Geoff Smith and even Craig Muni.

as for my goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 134 saves/154 shots on goal = 87.0 save percentage/4.56 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 22 saves/25 shots on goal = 88.0 save percentage/4.86 goals against average

i think i should go ahead and demote Ranford to backup goalie and make Fuhr the starting goalie just to jumpstart my team to get some wins.

still lost, but this one was an overtime loss than an outright loss, due to the shootout to end the game.

Esa Tikkanen finally got himself going when he scored not once, but twice. Two goals. Petr Klima and Ken Linseman assisted on both of Tikkanen's goals.

Ranford is no longer starting. I put in Grant Fuhr to combat my team's losing ways.

as of now, my point producers are:
> Jeff Beukeboom (D): 2G/2A/4P

with Tikkanen finally producing some points, now only Craig Simpson, Kelly Buchberger, Geoff Smith and Craig Muni have yet to produce points.

as for my goalies:
> Grant Fuhr: 46 saves/51 shots on goal = .902 save percentage/2.94 goals against average
> Bill Ranford: 134 saves/154 shots on goal = 87.0 save percentage/4.56 goals against average

at least i'm not losing that badly with Fuhr as my new starting netminder. If I can get some good results, that would be awesome. But then again, i'm going up against a bunch of Hall of Fame users with better teams.

just another day, another loss, same old shit.

but at least Craig Simpson and Kelly Buchberger have finally gotten on the scoreboard, leaving Geoff Smith and Craig Muni as the only pointless players on my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers.

9 losses, still no wins.

only a PP (Power Play) goal was scored by Glenn Anderson. Mark Messier chipped in on the assist. This happened after Dustin Byfuglien of the Ottawa Otters took a 2 minute penalty for elbowing Dave Brown of the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers.

Ranford is back in net, sort of rejuvenated but still lost the game.

as of now, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

once again, only Geoff Smith and Craig Muni remain without a single point contribution. and it's almost been 6 games since losing Steve Smith to a nose fracture. Muni has one more game to make an impression in the form of chipping in points, or else he's going back in the press box once Steve Smith is healed up and cleared to return to action.

as for my goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 162 saves/185 shots on goal = 87.6 save percentage/4.28 goals against average

10 losses, and yet to pick up a win.

only Petr Klima and Martin Gelinas scored a goal in Game 10. Klima's was a standard goal, for which Geoff Smith contributed an assist on; while Gelinas' goal was a Power Play (PP) goal that Joe Murphy and Kevin Lowe assisted.

Craig Muni was given some run time to contribute of any kind after Steve Smith went down for 6 games due to a nose fracture, and Muni failed to capitalize in Steve's absence. thus Muni will remain the only pointless EA 92 Edmonton Oilers player now that Geoff Smith finally got on the scoreboard tally.

as of now, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

only Muni will go without a point tally, while Anatoli Semenov and Norm Maciver haven't counted because they have yet to play.

as for my goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 196 saves/222 shots on goal = 88.3 save percentage/4.09 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 88 saves/103 shots on goal = 85.4 save percentage/4.05 goals against average

Craig Muni has failed to capitalize on producing in Steve Smith's absence, and because Steve Smith is finally back in action soon, Muni goes back to the press box.

11 losses counting, 0 wins still.

However, at least my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are starting to finally score more than 2 goals. They finally picked up the lead up until the OT (Overtime) period.

Among the four goals scored by my team: Craig Simpson, Dave Brown, Ken Linseman and Joe Murphy chipped in with the four goals.
Jeff Beukeboom (who later got ejected for cross checking while the returning Steve Smith got ejected for kneeing) and Kelly Buchberger assisted on Simpson's goal.
Geoff Smith assisted on Dave Brown's tip-in goal of Geoff's missed Snapshot.
Glenn Anderson assisted on Linseman's goal.
Kevin Lowe and Mark Messier assisted on Joe Murphy's goal.

Craig Muni is back to being in the press box with Anatoli Semenov and Norm Maciver, both of whom have yet to pick up some run time. Muni failed to contribute any points with the run time he was given 6 games to do, thus Steve Smith re-takes his spot in the lineup once he healed up.

as of now, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

> Grant Fuhr: 88 saves/103 shots on goal = 85.4 save percentage/4.05 goals against average

at least things are sort of starting to look better on the point production side of things with the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers.

Among the three goals scored by the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers, Esa Tikkanen scored twice: one being a standard goal and the second being a PP (Power Play) goal, while Dave Brown was the only other scorer.
Mark Messier assisted on Tikkanen's standard tip-in goal of Messier's missed wrist shot.
Martin Gelinas and Adam Graves assisted on Dave Brown's goal.
Steve Smith and Glenn Anderson assisted on Tikkanen's PP goal. That happened after John Klingberg of the Brawn En Francais took a 2 minute penalty for holding.

and for my goalies, Ranford got pulled for Fuhr:
> Bill Ranford: 269 saves/305 shots on goal = 88.2 save percentage/4.57 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 118 saves/134 shots on goal = 88.1 save percentage/3.79 goals against average

time to bench Ranford and take another chance on starting Fuhr on the next game.

as the losses keep piling up to make the record 18 losses and 0 wins, we should end up having a more fun box score on paper by the end of the SimLeague Hockey season.

Craig Simpson, Joe Murphy and Mark Messier scored.
Charlie Huddy assisted on Simpson's standard tip-in goal of Huddy's missed wrist shot.
Messier assisted on Joe Murphy's goal.

Finally, my EA 92 Edmonton Oilers picked up their first W of the SimLeague Hockey season. So now I have 1 win and 19 losses to my team's record.

Petr Klima and Charlie Huddy were the goal scorers for this one.
Steve Smith assisted on Klima's goal.
Martin Gelinas and Steve Smith assisted on Huddy's goal.

through 20 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:
> Petr Klima (RW/LW): 6G/3A/9P
> Mark Messier (C): 3G/4A/7P
> Martin Gelinas (LW): 3G/4A/7P
> Glenn Anderson (RW): 2G/5A/7P
> Joe Murphy (RW): 2G/5A/7P

> Adam Graves (C): 2G/4A/6P
> Esa Tikkanen (LW): 4G/1A/5P
> Kevin Lowe (D): 1G/4A/5P
> Kelly Buchberger (RW): 1G/4A/5P
> Charlie Huddy (D): 1G/4A/5P
> Dave Brown (RW): 3G/1A/4P
> Chris Joseph (D): 2G/2A/4P
> Steve Smith (D): 0G/4A/4P
> Craig Simpson (LW): 3G/0A/3P
> Geoff Smith (D): 0G/3A/3P
> Craig MacTavish (C): 0G/3A/3P

and for the goalies:
> Grant Fuhr: 303 saves/342 shots on goal = 88.6 save percentage/4.30 goals against average
> Bill Ranford: 366 saves/425 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/5.31 goals against average

since Fuhr picked up the W, I'll probably let him continue to start as long as he has more good games like this.

sadly, I have some bad news. and while Steve Smith put out a "Player of the Game" worthy performance by assisting on both Klima's and Huddy's goals, he also got ejected for kneeing a 1977-78 Salt Lake Golden Eagles player, and now Steve Smith's gonna be out for the next 2 games due to suspension for intent to injure.

I could've grabbed Norm Maciver out of the press box, but i'm giving Craig Muni some more run time for the next two games instead and hope he do better this time with Steve Smith on suspension.

so that will be 8 total games that Steve Smith will have missed, he already missed 6 for a nose fracture and now the next 2 missed games is because he got suspended.

1 win, and 20 losses.

sadly, only Kevin Lowe scored in this game. He scored by tipping in his own botched wrap-around shot. only he alone contributed to the individual points column.

through 21 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:
> Petr Klima (RW/LW): 6G/3A/9P
> Mark Messier (C): 3G/4A/7P
> Martin Gelinas (LW): 3G/4A/7P

> Esa Tikkanen (LW): 4G/1A/5P
> Kelly Buchberger (RW): 1G/4A/5P
> Charlie Huddy (D): 1G/4A/5P
> Dave Brown (RW): 3G/1A/4P
> Chris Joseph (D): 2G/2A/4P

> Craig Simpson (LW): 3G/0A/3P
> Geoff Smith (D): 0G/3A/3P
> Craig MacTavish (C): 0G/3A/3P

and for the goalies:
> Grant Fuhr: 324 saves/368 shots on goal = 88.0 save percentage/4.59 goals against average
> Bill Ranford: 383 saves/444 shots on goal = 86.3 save percentage/5.27 goals against average

with Steve Smith now on 2-game suspension, Craig Muni is back in the mix and he still can't produce. He has one more game left to make an impression or else he's going back in the press box again once Steve comes back from suspension.

1 win, 21 losses

sadly, only Craig Simpson scored in this game.
Glenn Anderson and Chris Joseph assisted on Simpson's goal.

through 22 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

> Bill Ranford: 394 saves/457 shots on goal = 86.2 save percentage/5.33 goals against average

once again, because Craig Muni failed to produce with the run time he was given, he'll be going back to the press box now that Steve Smith's 2-game suspension is over. Just gotta hope Steve Smith stay out of more trouble and stay healthy going forward.

at least for this game the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are looking like they're really trying to score, even if it's still just one goal. Steve Smith picked up his first goal of the season, unassisted. only sad news is Esa Tikkanen got ejected for charging, but lucky enough to avoid getting suspended.

i think i changed the goalie setting from "pull him if he starts losing his edge" to "only pull him as an absolute last resort" so that nobody gets pulled for each other anymore.

> Bill Ranford: 572 saves/661 shots on goal = 86.5 save percentage/5.53 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 461 saves/527 shots on goal = 87.5 save percentage/5.05 goals against average

It's over for my team, even just before the All-Star Break. I can't figure out how to play with the coach settings or work around my team, i even recently posted on the SimLeague Hockey forum section asking for help and nobody even cared enough to help me out.

only Kelly Buchberger scored a goal.
Craig Simpson and Kevin Lowe assisted on the goal by Buchberger.

through 30 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

I ended up picking the aging playoff versions of my team with the most playoff points ever. But the problem is, the standard SimLeague Hockey salary cap is capped to $70M so obviously i'm not gonna get better versions of all of them like that.

maybe on the next SimLeague Hockey season, i'll try my best to create a Theme League that has a salary cap level set to $120M, allow use of any NHL rookies, forbid the use of the Waiver Wire because I don't like straying away from my theme team.

probably time to switch back to Ranford for the next game, seeing as Fuhr got pulled in favor of Ranford at the last resort attempt to save the game.

i just got asked by another team to put Craig Simpson on the trading block. i'm gonna do my best to decline and veto the trade just to keep the theme of the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers roster based on the Sega Genesis version of NHL Hockey 92.

unlike Craig Muni who failed to produce with the run time he was given whether Steve Smith missed time with injury/suspension, Anatoli Semenov maximized the run time he's being given (1 assist) while Craig Simpson is out on suspension for 2 games.

as soon as Simpson gets back, Semenov may go back to the press box but he will be the first priority should any other skater (including Simpson) get further injured or suspended.

and for the goalies:
> Grant Fuhr: 895 saves/1040 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/5.96 goals against average
> Bill Ranford: 744 saves/867 shots on goal = 85.9 save percentage/5.93 goals against average

after this game, Craig Simpson's suspension is over, and Anatoli Semenov will be going back to the press box, while Simpson re-takes his place at LW on the 3rd line with MacTavish and Buchberger. at least Semenov produced an assist with the run time he was given in Simpson's absence, while Muni couldn't produce with the run time he was given in Steve Smith's absence.

Bill Ranford will be starting the next game.

1 win, 45 losses

once again, only Esa Tikkanen scored a goal.
this time, Geoff Smith and Chris Joseph assisted on Tik's goal.
this is coming in a game where the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers look like they're not even trying to score on the opp's net, while Dave Brown got ejected for butt-ending.

after 46 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:
> Esa Tikkanen (LW): 11G/2A/13P
> Mark Messier (C): 7G/6A/13P
> Glenn Anderson (RW): 4G/8A/12P
> Joe Murphy (RW): 2G/10A/12P
> Petr Klima (RW/LW): 6G/4A/10P
> Martin Gelinas (LW): 6G/4A/10P
> Kevin Lowe (D): 3G/7A/10P
> Chris Joseph (D): 3G/7A/10P
> Ken Linseman (C): 2G/7A/9P
> Craig Simpson (LW): 5G/3A/8P
> Kelly Buchberger (RW): 3G/5A/8P
> Charlie Huddy (D): 1G/7A/8P

> Dave Brown (RW): 4G/2A/6P
> Craig MacTavish (C): 2G/3A/5P
> Anatoli Semenov (C): 0G/1A/1P

and for the goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 798 saves/929 shots on goal = 85.9 save percentage/6.02 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 895 saves/1040 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/5.96 goals against average

luckily enough, Dave Brown once again avoided getting suspended. But seriously, the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers need to stop giving us the same ol' run-of-the-mill bullshit of refusing to even try to score on opp's nets.

1 win, 46 losses

nobody scored, fuck updating the box score.

for the goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 844 saves/981 shots on goal = 86.0 save percentage/5.77 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 895 saves/1040 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/5.96 goals against average

but hey, at least the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers look like they're putting in more effort to try to score on opp goals.

once again, nobody scored. who cares about updating the box score.

for the goalies:
> Bill Ranford: 875 saves/1019 shots on goal = 85.9 save percentage/6.06 goals against average
> Grant Fuhr: 895 saves/1040 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/5.96 goals against average

nothing new to say, hopefully the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers manage to start scoring and snap an ongoing 2-game scoreless streak.

1 win, 48 losses

losing ways still continue, but at least the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers have snapped their 2-game scoreless streak by scoring two goals.
Martin Gelinas and Glenn Anderson did the goal scoring.
Kevin Lowe assisted on Gelinas' standard tip-in goal of K-Lowe's missed wrist shot.
Steve Smith and Ken Linseman assisted on Anderson's goal.
also, Bill Ranford got pulled for Grant Fuhr

after 49 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:

> Grant Fuhr: 926 saves/1072 shots on goal = 86.4 save percentage/5.88 goals against average

Dave Brown got ejected for cross checking, but avoids suspension. Hopefully the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers do better and quit the same ol' run-of-the-mill bullshit of not even trying to score more on opp goalies.

1 win, 49 losses

the losing ways still continue, but at least 4 goals were scored by the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers.
Martin Gelinas and Esa Tikkanen each scored one goal, while Kelly Buchberger scored twice.
Dave Brown and Kevin Lowe assisted on Gelinas' goal.
Mark Messier and K-Lowe assisted on Tikkanen's goal.
Gelinas assisted on Buchberger's standard tip-in goal of Gelinas' missed slapshot.
Adam Graves assisted on Buchberger's second goal.
btw, Grant Fuhr got pulled for Bill Ranford.

after 50 games, my point producers for the EA 92 Edmonton Oilers are:
> Esa Tikkanen (LW): 12G/2A/14P
> Mark Messier (C): 7G/7A/14P
> Martin Gelinas (LW): 8G/5A/13P

> Geoff Smith (D): 0G/7A/7P
> Craig MacTavish (C): 2G/3A/5P
> Anatoli Semenov (C): 0G/1A/1P

for the goalies:
> Grant Fuhr: 951 saves/1105 shots on goal = 86.1 save percentage/6.05 goals against average
> Bill Ranford: 899 saves/1051 shots on goal = 85.5 save percentage/6.17 goals against average

even though Dave Brown got ejected for kneeing, he again avoided suspension. Craig Simpson however wasn't as lucky, as not only did he get ejected for elbowing, but once again he's out for another two games because he's suspended for intent to injure.

because of Craig Simpson's two game suspension, Anatoli Semenov will be getting more run time, and the last time around, he scored 1 assist in 2 games. Let's hope Semenov can do even better for the next two games, and again, Semenov will be on the 4th line next to Adam Graves and Dave Brown, while Gelinas gets promoted to the 3rd line at LW next to Craig MacTavish and Kelly Buchberger.
