There's no real way to watch it in order
Everything in the series works on the idea of Toki no Wa, which makes new entries contradict previous entries' events while still relying on the same events to further the story, both at the same time.

I'd suggest that you just watching in release order, it's easiest and you'll probably get the most enjoyment out of it

This board is a dnb and the threads that do get activity are threads where the OP obsesses over their favorite character so I rarely browse here. I thought about giving my opinion of why Heidi: Girl of the Alps doesn't feel like a SoL anime compared to Azumanga and Aria despite it being one since it was also talked about in the thread I mentioned here but by the time I finished watching it I completely forgot. Even when I did think about doing it I couldn't really get my thoughts straight.

I found out about it on this board, figured I would watch it since it's a similar style to Azumanga, thought it was pretty good and had fun watching it.
