In my opinion theyre like books but more boring, but it might be because im a newfag.
I tried reading steins gate but i dropped it about 30 hours in, partly because i've seen the anime a couple of times but also because it just started to feel likd a chore to read after a while.
Books are easier to read and for me feel more rewarding to get trough.
