Nombidians are black (like African American black) and they're not like liberal fantasy black people where they're just white, they're actually black. Art is being made don't worry, I'm not a girl with BPD who drops a project. Right now I'm working on a nice little poster of all the different races in TRANSIENT.
First image is a Tartarian. They're Chinese.
Second image is a Nombidian. They're like a mix of Black and Asian. Usually lanky, most skinny. Some get fairly fat. Very dark. They get lighter the deeper into the Nombidian pits you go.
There are also the various islanders, they range from Filipino like to Japanese, but they're all considered the same race.
The you have La Raza (see picture), descendants of mixed Nephite and Tartarian populations. They're now short and brown, but very stocky. Best known for having really fat warriors and pyramids. Quite scary for being deceptively intelligent while outwardly unassuming.
The Nephites are slavic, usually tall as Nombidians. They live in the far west, in the mountains and foothills. They don't participate in society much. Occasionally warbands of their finest soldiers go out into the steppes to prove their worth, and some journey to Tartaria to learn martial arts.
Lyrans occupy the same space as Nephites and are the reason why civilization in the West doesn't exist. Giant, red haired, and black skinned. They are the competitor species to mankind, but are related.
Lunarians live out in the far northeast and occupy the frozen tundras and the Dhatu peninsula. Or at least we think, because most of them look just like slightly taller and paler Tartarians. Stories say some of them are gigantic with black almond eyes and bluish gray skin, with advanced technology. Most Lunarians claim heritage from these people. They probably don't exist, but if they do, they're might have psychic powers and look terrifying. Legendary Folk-Hero Shao Lang Sung is a Lunarian.
The mud flats which lay before Hyperborea house VAG-NAG-SHIGGARUTH'S-SERVANTS-OVER-THE-WORLD, metallic golems formed by a power forgotten to mankind, living on a massive moving city made of steel. Widely believed to not exist, they possess hellish bodies made of wrought iron and might be demons embodied. Responsible for the fall of the Lunarian society, and innumerable missing expeditions to Hyperborea.
The Mogura are a cannibalistic offshoot of humanity that live within the massive complex of pre-historic tombs, fortresses, and caves made by the last civilization of mankind. They give a really bad name to people that live underground, infact, millions live in the tunnels. Mogura live in the uninhabited corridors, the dark and damp caves, the mausoleums to forgotten men. They look human, Tartarians, but with a wide mouth and pale skin. Eyewitnesses report they dress and talk like pre-Nombidian-Tartarian war Tartarians. They also taste like pork.

Gou Chenyang here, I'm not autistic, that was an impression of an autist I know IRL that I did spontaneously so I decided to roll with it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about the world building and the story for this comic, but not enough drawing. Or even posting it
The main character of the Transient comic (or just the first one, will make more) will be a 16 year old Nephite named Riku (see pic related), whom over the course of the story travels across the entirety of Asia to prove himself as the best fighter in the whole world. Incredibly gifted in strength and martial talent, he's really only lacking in the wisdom of age.
Don't want to spoil it too hard but the first big event will be a fight with some of his buddies against some Nombidian banditry, where he's left to fend for himself as he's the only one competent enough to not die immediately fighting.
He'll meet such people as Wang Running-Horse, Lei Wei the Elephant man, Big Bo' of Da Steppe, the Mantis warriors, The Lyran Witchdoctor, the Procession of the Dead, the Thunder Warriors of Lunaria, and the loathesome metal men of Dhatu.
He also fucking hates Nombidians with a passion.
