Looks kino, I'll put it on my list. You should watch Hellsing, it's also about vampires and stuff.

the atmosphere, the character design and the Madhouse animation of course. next on my list is another Madhouse production called Ninja Scroll

By Ninja Scroll hopefully you mean the film and not the TV series. The film is much much much better.

There's not much I think of that strike the perfect balance of all the things that made this masterpiece as good as it that you've mentioned. There's many any anime with just as good character design, atmosphere and animation.

Closest I that comes to mind is Magnetic Rose which part of an anthology (the other shorts are nowhere as close as good so don't bother watching). It's made by Madhouse and it's a pseudo-horror short film with some best animation I've seen and uses a lot of cinematic composition. Pure eye candy. I think that checks all the boxes.

About [SIUUU] vs [ZoroSenpai] for Bloodlust: The two are very close to each other in quality. [SIUUU] is a BD remux. [ZoroSenpai] is an encode of that BD. They have the same subs. "JPN Avex Pictures Blu-ray" there is the [SIUUU] release. As you can see, visually they are very close. The English track in the [SIUUU] version is 5.1 "DTS HD-Master Audio" at 2176kbps whereas the [ZoroSenpai] version is 5.1 "Dolby Digital Plus" at 1024kbps. For the Japanese audio [SIUUU] and [ZoroSenpai] share the same track. Bloodlust btw is one of those exceptionally rare cases where the English audio is actually good. The voices and deliveries are good. It's totally watchable in English. However the English dialogue is somewhat inaccurate and simplified and there's a bit of "filler" dialogue (speech where there shouldn't be any).

Playback tip:

Be careful to not overdo these things (for any anime), or you'll crush bright and dark details and make the colors look wrong. What settings are appropriate varies from anime to anime; what looks best for one anime isn't the best for another.

The Ninja Scroll TV series, made in 2003, is in a sense one of the very first nuanimes. Or at the very least it's one of the first animes that suffered from nuanime production techniques, in particular in the area of animation; while not the worst-looking anime of 2003 (the disgusting abomination Divergence Eve for example looks worse), the animation was jarringly bad and a huge downgrade from Cowboy Bebop for example.

Shame the Final Fantasy games never did his art any justice. Most games' plots and settings are just an algamanation of pop-culture the gook salarymen were consuming at the time. Thank science for this film and Angel's Egg, especially the latter, for capturing the surreal dream-like atmosphere of Yoshi's art.

this stuff was kino, Hellsing is good but what really scratched my itch was Claymore. Its created by the same studio, Studio madhouse, Almost everything Madhouse makes is kino
