The school closed down then turned into a alternative school/psych sort of place, weird they never put a sign up for it but I heard people talking about it like its a school for the delinquents and or crazies now depending on who talks about it. To me it lines up with what others say about GATE. Brace with me here, elementary in the 2000s/early 2010s then mentally handicapped/delinquent(they would obviously go after those who have NO ONE, and for those who aren't the target/possibly in the room at the same time, delinquency lets them write off paranoia as whatever condition or affliction of their upbringing.)
Compared to if a normal student tells mom and dad about zenner cards or being sleepy after drinking the schools hot cocoa theoretically one of them could have a well off parent who finds that weird, they have their kid piss in a cup, send it off to mass spectrometry and they find scopolamine, even if the parent doing this is unlikely this likely impacted them having experiments more time constricted due to the nature of a chemical half life, half life is 5 hours admitting it at 10 compared to 2. The mentally ill and special needs kids they wouldn't care or notice if they are tired they would see it as a well needed break. Mentally disabled were found to have high ESP scores, they enough data for the normal people cohort presumably or they didn't want students with cell phones in GATE settings.
"pajama and movie days with hot cocoa" which looking back the movies are 3 hours what happened to the other 5 hours of the day? it was pajamas so people would hear it and assume you just fell asleep. Upon research for this reply I got creeped out realizing that polar express is not 3 hours, it is only an hour and 40 minutes, what happened to the other 6 and 20 minutes hours of the day?. I think my former elementary school is probably involved in GATE even if the city officials don't know it beyond the feds turning blind eye to their embezzlement if the school turns a blind eye to the experiments. They threw shit away like books, bookshelves over 6'7/2 meters tall, equipment that can be used in PE, REDACTED FINGER PRINTABLE ITEM WORTH 1-2000 DOLLARS, while having other schools in network, book shelves that are over 6'7/2 meters tall. One of the main reasons I am not automatically thinking GATE is the fact GATE is our generations Woodstock, 2m claimed to go, 200k actually went, and the fact the school is not being in prime GATE territory, it is in the whole Michigan to Virginia fed belt area but not as prolific as army bases/certain California towns.
In-between the not school nurse doing the hearing/vision test, the embezzlement, the school shutting down and becoming an either alternative school for delinquents or school for the mentally challenged school.
One of the things that makes me think the school was in some sketchy shit is them having computer programs/games which realistically could of been testing and me dumpster diving the school once I got older and finding the books perfectly in tact but the computers were smashed with hammers and flooded with water. In addition to the fact the hearing and eye test was done by someone who isn't a typical school employee which is strange because it was just "do you hear that sound(frequency most likely) on the hearing test and an eye test. What creeped me out looking back is telling the nurse that I want to do the whole eye chart/she only had me do to 4 or 5 lines. Her response was "don't worry we will come back" and then I never saw her again. 2000s so probably not as blatant as 70s-90s GATE. I also remember getting state tests where the fill in sheet had some of the answers filled in then erased which was probably testing if I am solving for correct answer or just doing easy way

Theres A and B group of GATE at the very least, Group A is directed towards military/politics/STEM roles, some say group B is Truman show experience/gangstalked/oppurtunities sabotaged. Frankly we can't be too sure due to how internet isn't as immortal as some like to say and scrubbing archives and data simply lost to time is nearly identical in appearance to the eye without inference. Being a GATE reject is smug because it says nothing about intelligence, only compliance, the GATE kids who "succeeded" are like the dogs that salivated for Pavlov on que with the highest accuracy
