Sorry to make a thread just for this simple question but does anyone have a good guide to having lucid dreams ?
Something step by step, I used to journal my dreams but over the last year I fucked my sleep, the amount of dreams I had reduced to, I think, noticing as few as one dream per week or something this summer, eventually even my wet dreams were devoid of dream, I'd simply wake up with cum all over. I'm dreaming once again now but thus I'm starting low towards the lucid ones

I've trying for years. Tried the dream journal method and the wakr up middle of the night method too none worked. Then randomly a week ago i was in a dream where we went skiing i wanted to go home so i rolled down the hill(i didnt have ski blades on a ski trip geg). Then i realised i dont know where i am and how i can go home sonce i dont have a car and im i t the middle of nothing at a hill. At that moment i somehow realised i was dreaming and the only way home was waking up, i regained my conciousnes and tried my hardest to stay in the dream but only managed for like 15seconds or so. Still the first time it ever happened and i dont know how to replicate it

I had a friend in school who said he could induce lucid dreaming by making it a habit to count the fingers on his hand every thirty seconds while awake. After a while it became so impuslive (at least according to him) that he started doing it in his dreams, in which you always have uneven/wierd amounts of fingers. That made him aware, but he said he started getting sleep paralysis too. Although I'm unsure if that had to do with the high amounts of lucid dreaming he was said to have.

I recollect having a semi-lucid dream where I started to suspect I was dreaming and counted my fingers, this actaully led me to having clunky control of the dream but I somehow lost it and forgot it after a while. So it kind of works.
