The words I've written are in Russian, but eventually I'll write in the real alien language (the script will probably evolve after that) (really, it's a constructed language or however)

the idea is that the symbols have their basis in the phonetics of the words, and the symbols connect to each other logically, with connections between words carrying the inflections like case, number, tense, distance, etc.

Each lemma (lexeme which is the dictionary form of an inflected word) will probably be standardized into its own "sigil", which could be taken for its own symbol, or read phonetically once you know how its linear construction folds into its calligraphic construction
For now, I think I'll base my constructed language on Slavic languages
