How long did it take you to become competent enough to do stuff like this? I tried playing the base game with all of the DLCs pirated, and even after watching a few tutorials, I had no clue what to do

the base game is gay and lame because there's no economy. i find it too simple in that area, but the division and equipment designer is hell. i still kinda don't really understand it, i used to play hoi4 much more years ago and back then it was so easy to win that you never had to touch it and now i came back to it and i'm also confused because now i'm forced to edit the division templates to win. it'd be better if hoi4 was just a bit more like victoria 3 and had a simple economy besides just the military part which is too complicated actually. besides the division designer i'd say that hoi4 is pretty intuitive actually
