Because it's, for those niggers, original and unique and it validates xheir gender or something, plus they combine it with flashing imagery and three thousand niggerbillion different colours that make the game look "lively", and on top of that, due to it being indie, they will bootlick it until the end of time because AAA bad even doe both are bad and nothing good
Few are the games that apply this in a good way (DUSK, HROT, CULTIC) and few are the ones that don't want to use this oversaturated aesthetic and actually try something new (Forgive me Father 1/2)

I wish more phonos would follow a 2004/2008'ish (aka something like DOOM 3, HL2, CSS) aesthetic for their games, I think nobaldi has tried to make a game with this style and, with the current tools, it is possible
