I'm thinking about cheating by looking up videos to either copy or get inspiration from like how to not have a shit roof. I did try experimenting, so it's not necessarily that I have zero percent creativity.

2D games like Terraria and Starbound always brought out my creativity more than Minecraft ever did. In terms of 3D games, the chiseling system in Vintage Story lets me express a lot of that in the form of detail work

Terraria gives you a lot of block options, you can hammer them into so many shapes that connect to everything perfectly, so many walls, you can use beams, fences can be useful, and shingles make even the worst roofs look nicer. There's also repainting everything which can improve versatility greatly. There's so many furniture options too. It really is a building game disguised as a boss rush.
