The only thing that slightly interested me was the Kirby Airriders game I heard about. Theres no point paying more than £60 for a game for cacas that I can blitz through within 5 hours and has little to no replay value when theres all the older games to emulate and cheaper games on steam

I completely agree with this, sony fans can be equally soy but its more than Nintendo manages to get away with shitting out anything, sony has to put in a little more effort to appease their fans.
The differences would mostly be that at least Nintendo occasionally makes games that are unique and cannot be found anywhere else, Sony and especially Microslop will put their stuff on PC as well and its all the same flavour 3D graphics showcase that the soys adore.
If Nintendo ever released their games on non-nintendo hardware they wouldn't be able to sell consoles, which is exactly why the chinks never have.
