Mother 1 is outdated but mother 2 and 3 is worth a try

Mother 1 sucks. 2 is fine but troonslop. 3 is the best Ninendon't game and is not troonslop because you enact TND.

i played 2 like a year or two ago and they are boring as fuck super mario rpg is unironically better

I like mother/earthbound but it's definitely not for everyone. Unfortunately it has inspired mountains worth of troonslop such as deltatroon/niggertale and other Fauci-approved RPG quirkfests and has become associated with that crowd. if you're fine with that, as well as a slower, more cliche type of RPG, you might get something out of the series.

Mother 3 was the one that stood out to me the most, however all of them, especially Mother 3, are written from a Japanese liberal perspective. So it does have a few based takes but also a number of pozzed ones as well. Not a chuddy game, but one I like.

mother 1 is peak, mother2/earthbound is the leftover ideas from 1, 3 is a complete closure of the series everything exagerated to it's furthest and draining any possible thing the first 2 hadn't covered. I'd 100% recommend playing mother 1 and finishing that first before even touching the rest, play mother 2 if you enjoyed the first one. Mother 3 is a tough recommendation tbqh unless you loved playing the first 2 idk what you'd think of the third, genuinely play them in order even if you only play the very first game it will be worth it.

earthbound is one of my favourite games but it also inspired troon slop and thats coal

mother 2 is also really easy so play mother 3 if you want a slightly harder game
