As long as you don't waste it. I wait for the Amazon giftcards to show up every once in a while because those don't expire. I know the conversion rate is significantly worse, but that way I'm not forced to pay up immediately. I recently saw something about how they may be letting you buy Xbox store games directly with rewards points. If that's true/that happens, then that's one of the most pro-consumer things Microsoft has done in a very long time.
