ok i just bought it evendoe i just said to use google maps it looks much better actually playing it than the videos at least and it runs…. okay (anywhere from 60-240fps depending on how far i am zoomed into the map with a 4070TiS/7800X3D with everything maxed at 5120x1440) which is one of the main complaints i saw, overall seems to run pretty smooth though apart from that i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing and only played eu4 for about 30 minutes a decade ago but this shit better get me 10000 hours of gameplay or whatever for this price

Enable Nvidia Smooth Motion for a huge framerate boost with no discernible effect on the visuals. I was dropping down to below 50 with certain things on screen but after enabling this it doesn't go below 150 fps.
Just add eu5.exe to the Nvidia app and enable Smooth Motion.

actual incomprehensible game, there's something addictive about it though, i can see how people have thousands of hours in these sort of games now, i've mostly just been staring at the map paralyzed with no idea where to even start, and haven't even done the economy/politics/expansion tutorials yet

one bug i found that is potentially game breaking: when you expand an RGO there's no confirmation to decrease it again and it automatically destroys the building, so i guess just don't do that for now

>>43158 I guess that's the problem with getting rid of the missions. Back in EUIV when You started, the first thing to click on was mission tree and from there You knew what to do. In EUV if You don't have any goals of Your own it's hard to move of the ground. Right now, I am playing just a chill learning game as a Norway while playing tall and colonizing Canada. I'll what I'll play next.

Has Paracox mentioned anything about fixing the AI? The mechanics all look gemmy but I'm getting worried because in every playthrough I've seen Russia has never formed, the golden horde exists for the entire game and England gets raped so hard by France that it never forms the UK. Generally with new Paracox games I let ultra-autists buy it at launch and beta test it for paradox so all the bugs get sorted out, but I'm worried that Paracox have dropped the ball with the AI so hard that all the gemmy mechanics have gone to waste. I'm hoping either paracox fixes the AI or a better AI mod comes out within a couple months but I don't know how likely it is for either of those options to happen.

Despite a lot of flaws i think paradox might have actually done a good launch for once, the initial version actually feels like a full game and each nation has a different feel to its playthrough Considering their other launches feel like hollow shells this is great
