Can confirm that the majority of the player base is unironically wholesome chungas. Only 4/20 of my raids involved an interaction between me and another player, where one of us got killed. Some might attribute this cooperative player behavior with the PVE focused the game has. The real reason is the heckin neo retro futurism nostalgia, which apparently draws people who were alive in the '80s like troons to a 14 year old questioning their sexuality. They're too geriatric to play aggressively.

against all of my better judgement, i bought it, because of boredom and because i like the music style or whatever… i only played one round so far but it seems kind of gemmy and it runs well with everything cranked to epic (how they managed this with unreal engine 5 is a mystery but i'm sure it's been heavily modified to run on rust or something like that) and i'm past the refund window because i spent an hour trying to get my mic set up (i don't think there is actually anything wrong with it but the voice chat shows up as muted in the tutorial level then works in a real game)

I dont like extraction looters but it sounds amazing and looks decently

agree, it's pretty decent. after about 6-7 games i've had a mix of friendly encounters and ambushes from behind. i've only gone in solo so far, is squad fill worth using to play with randoms?
