New 'king

 24308[Quote]

Looks retarded and nigger infested

 24314[Quote]

I like horror, tv shows and Stephen King, but niggers?
Pass.

 24343[Quote]

It's nice to see him going back to horror after all the weepy phony "inspirational" bullraisin he started putting out, and his son's first nepobaby movie Black Phone. He always goes back to the same era, same local, same tropes. His talents are pretty limited.

He's a good writer but he's spent the last several years along with Hamill destroying his image on social media. Now when a new project drops I just think "That asshat on twitter?"

bro this book is from the '70s

 24350[Quote]

>>24346
Yeah but I mean in terms of adaptations.

 24354[Quote]

>>24343
He is a good writer. And even if you read his recent novels, you can tell he has talent. You cannot deny his talent. Even if the story is basic and simple, he brings the characters to life in a way no other novelist can. There is a reason Stephen King TO THIS DAY has movies and tv shows based on his books and many of those adaptations make top lists in sales and get big name actors and directors.
Stephen King is a phenomenon.

 24355[Quote]

>>24343
His talent is definitely not limited. lol
It has been like 50 years since Carrie the movie.
IT, broke records in the 2010s.
The Shining is one of the top horror films ever.
Every fucking year, there are TV shows based on his novels.
Every year there are movies based on his novels.
He has created literal classics and has made a name for himself in horror next to HP Lovecraft and Bram Stoker.

 24356[Quote]

>>24343
There has not been a decade since the 70's that Stephen King did not have a major hit regarding his novels, tv adaptations or movie adaptations. Lmfao.
You are a stupid dumb zoomer.

Okay, guess I triggered you. Tell you what. He's pretty prolific right? So name five stories which feature NONE of the following:

-Takes place in Maine.
-Coming of age story.
-Haunted house.
-Someone with psychic powers who is a child, disabled or mentally retarded.
-Self-insert character who is a writer and self-described liberal.
-Needlessly detailed descriptions of rape or child sex.
-Set in the US in the '60s or earlier.
-Part of the premise involves travel, especially by plane.

 24444[Quote]

>>24398
He writes good stories and creates good characters.
Not really, the Night Flier wasn't like that.
Or Storm of the Century.

 24445[Quote]

>>24398
Doesn't really matter what you say, at least a few Stephen King works has taken a top spot each decade for the past 50 years.

 24446[Quote]

>>24398
So what if the setting is the same? lol
You can pretend it is different but Stephen King likes that setting.

 24447[Quote]

>>24398
Also, it is important to note his tv shows and movie adaptations all attract big actors and directors too. So your opinion is pretty retarded.

 24449[Quote]

>>24444
The Night Flier, a story about a vampire who travels via private plane to hunt elderly couples and eats an entire airport followed by a tabloid journalist in his own private plane isn't about travel, particularly by plane…?

Storm of the Century, about a mysterious devil-like figure coming to a town and revealing everyone's secrets who wants a characters child so he can teach him his dark psychic powers… doesn't contain a child with psychic powers…?

Listen, bro makes nice paintings sometimes, but you have to admit he's using the color palette of a game boy. It's the same story over and over. The fact that The Dark Tower basically ends with the beginning of the first book should tell you it's all variations of the same story.

Appeal to popularity fallacy.

 24451[Quote]

>>24449
Sometimes you need a refine palate to be able to distinguish subtle sought after notes.
Every year major TV shows and movies based on his works are released and make lots at the box office and the shows have lots of viewers. His works also attract top directors and actors. It attracts major studio funding too.
>Appeal to popularity fallacy.
Not really, his novels are really good and it isn't only good because of the plot, and as you mentioned, the plot can be simple sometimes. It is world of characters he brings to life. If you are unable to read his novels and notice how he brings the character's to life and the way he writes in general, then you are undeveloped and need to refine your palate. I have read some of his raisintier novels, I only like horror, but he has a gift at brining characters to life.
If you cannot accept this, then that is too bad.

 24454[Quote]

>>24449
He isn't just famous for his stories but also for how he writes brings his novels to life. There is a reason why he stands out and each decade has notable works from him.

 24465[Quote]

>>24451
Bro you're acting like every story he's had adapted has been a hit, like he didn't spend over a decade in tv movie hell which is where most of his better known and cornier adaptations rest. You're acting like there was never a point where so many were bombing they stopped putting his name in the movie title.

The Dark Tower, Dreamcatcher, Graveyard Shift, Lawnmower Man (which admittedly had basically nothing to do with his story, which was originally about a fucking satyr that ate the grass off people's lawns) Maximum Overdrive, Cell, Thinner. He has shat out four stinkers for every good story he's told, and even the decent ones like It require major rewrites because for some reason the sick fuck things things like child gangbangs are great bonding material. We really needed a little girl's perspective describing the various cocks of her preteen companions because the cocaine King was injecting told him so.

 24473[Quote]

>>24465
Literally every decade had a MAJOR movie based on his works.
This is excluding all the smaller movies and tv shows each fucking decade. lmfao.

 24474[Quote]

>>24465
I get it, you're being contrarian.
His works has been part of every decade.
Major hits each decade. That is a good record.
Major hits plus direct to video films and tv shows.
That is a really good track record.

 24475[Quote]

>>24465
It is okay, man.

 24476[Quote]

>>24465
Not every single one, but it is solid. A few hits every decade and small direct to video movies and tv shows is good more than good enough. It is excellent almost.
What are you even talking about?

Lemme spell this out, you're samefagging. I don't know why you're formatting your replies this way but this is the most obvious samefag.

You're not denying what I'm saying. Saying "He had MAJOR hits" doesn't undo that he also had MAJOR flops. He has had MAJOR bombs every decade. He's had MAJOR bombs. They adapt Dark Tower and who do they cast as "old white daddy"? Idris fucking Elba. It bombed, like more of his adaptations do than not. The Barbie movie was a major hit, the Minecraft movie was a major hit. Does that even make them good?

 24498[Quote]

>>24479
Only one of those posts are are mine.
You are an idiot. He has major hits every decade.
And the so called flops are studio issues.
Cope.

 24500[Quote]

>>24479
>>24498
There are major studio productions based on his works every 5 years. King himself is successful. Not sure what that guy is arguing about. Probably some failed novelist or something.

My bank has screenings for this film but I am not sure if want to go, it took me over 3 tries to watch the last movie. I just kept turning it off whenever some roastie character had screen time for too long.

I think there was a nigger in the novel too right. I will probably check out this series. Sometimes, like maybe 2 out of 10 shows, the nigger doesnt impact it too negatively.
I just finished Exorcist TV show and the one nigger didnt have much impact.

I am on the last episode of Midnight Mass.
There is pretty much one main brown character, and in the second last episode he goes on a monologue about how no matter what he does, people see him as Osama Bin Laden. This is a series where the dei hires couldnt ruin it. It is a solid TV show.
In Midnight Mass, there are a few moments where you can tell it was roastie coded, mainly the scenes with excessive dialogue or topics about trauma. Unfortunately, any thing that involves girls, will have some garbage in it. Overall, the series is very solid. 10% garbage.

This Mike Flanagan guy makes some good horror shows. I will check out his other shows after this one.

This isn't horror and the main reason King released this book under an alias. Also fuck you faggot or something, idk. Didn't read your post but the other guys seem to think you're a retard so I'll take their word for it.

All Stephen King adaptations are going to be raisin if they keep putting niggers into it
