And it's not like Linux is going to immediately stop working on these computers *if* this patch gets in, these people would be able to use an LTS kernel for the next few years and still receive security updates, and after that move to NetBSD, which will retain 486 support for a very long time, if they REALLY don't want to upgrade their 80s shitbox.
