Having to open up a 300 page manual and download 500 different dependencies to do literally anything is codetranny behavior. I'd rather pay $41 for Winjews from Microjeet and have everything just work. Both OSes are ultimately spying on me anyway.

A casual user almost never has to do this, besides, you don't read the whole manual but look for a specific thing you need

I don't understand why bloat is a concern for you when you prefer windows, especially since you can easily avoid it by not installing the packages with a lot of dependencies.
