I used to think tape cassettes is a good way to save music, I no longer think so
I own 2 studio album tapes
I put it one tape and on one side left headphone did not transfer shit, the other tape made my ears ring. Also the boombox belts get worn to shit and it's hard to replace it.
Nah I'm switching to CDs which I already own a lot. I'm only gonna use tapes for recording SNCA and music that was only released on them.

Learning about audio is a very long process with a fair amount of trial and error that will teach you better than anything else. And everyone's journey is different. The hardest thing to get over is the obsession with Harman curves. They're decent recommendations based on 20 year old data with some bias thrown in, not laws.
