Java, language is high level enough to be easily learnt by anyone and easy to do just about anything you want while still being general enough for concepts to transfer over to other languages. The language has a pretty amazing standard library that includes just about anything you could ask for, amazing documentation, and an ecosystem that's probably only beaten by Rust in terms of simplicity. And it's not a braindead retardlang like Python or JeetScript either so you won't feel a huge shock when you move on to other languages
