You could ask your friends or family to let you try the system out.
Generally, MacOS is pretty much useless in real world applications, having a lot of similarities to ChromeOS. Even Linux does a better job of not being a glorified web browser. All you can do on a Mac is use the shitty default browser and that's really it.

Just don't use apple's keyboard and mice/trackpad, they're unpleasant to use (no button travel)

you can get a similar experience from ubuntu. are you willing to spend $900 or more for a macbook? do you even like apple hardware? for a similar price you could have a kickass getac or panasonic.
