Try and use a beginner friendly distro to see what you like, get used to using the console for stuff, and get used to using package managers

linux mint is exactly the same as windows, you can even install windows 7 or 10 theme to be more easier, i remember i installed a windows 7 theme on mint and i was actually often forgetting that i use linux

Even if you've never used linux before, but can deal with a bit of tweaking, you can skip past the "beginner" distros and go to something mid tier
