lets be realistic linux sissies, gimp is not good

 â„–24375[Quote]

i use krita and it's good enough to replace paint.net

 â„–24377[Quote]

>>24375
paint.net is better. it has better filters. paint.net filters can be used in combination to achieve almost any effect imaginable. krita and other image editors have weird ass niche filters that nobody gives a fuck about, like "rain drops", or "fire".
>>24373 (OP)
i use it every day and it's a piece of shit. i run windows in a VM specifically so i can use paint.net

remarkable that you can develop a piece of software for 30 years and still have it be a piece of shit. i mean, i still install it on every machine because it does have some features and workflows that are very good - but it's better viewed as a utility than a complete, usable piece of software. you should look at gimp as like, the same way you look at ffmpeg or something.

I use Pinta for basic things, Krita for more advanced ones, if none work, I start my winboat vm and use paint.net in that

I got used to GIMP ever since I switched to Linux and now I can't get used to Photoshop's workflow

I use it everyday and i LOVE it, gimpGQDS VVQN

GIMP's non-desructive effects are way more powerful than Photoshop's wimpy "adjustment layers". This isn't the old days of GIMP 2 and older. GIMP 3 is really good and can potentially beat Photoshop

 â„–24405[Quote]

Photopea vvqn btw

 â„–24421[Quote]

it fucking sucks

 â„–24423[Quote]

TSMT. i only use GIMP as a replacement for the default drawing tool which absolutely sucks balls. if i want to make OC i just go on my windows computer and use Photoshop

NOTHING beats paint net. NOTHING.

What's so amazing about Paint.NET? It's just an image editor with less features than GIMP and Photoshop

 â„–24496[Quote]

>>24373 (OP)
i've never used anything else than gimp, microsoft paint or Kolourpaint so i have nothing to compare it with and will continue using gimp
the only thing i'd say i mind is mass manipulation with several layers and not being able to move objects a specific coordinations

 â„–24498[Quote]

>>24494
Photoshop is niggerbabble that spies on you, GIMP is just bootleg photoshop with snca filters. Paint.NET has everything you need and it just werks so intuitively and so blazingly fast you can't overstate it.

 â„–24500[Quote]

>>24498
You can't get real image editing work done with Paint.NET

 â„–24511[Quote]

>>24500
you can. it's missing a few features like alpha masking and tiling utilities (which there are plugins for), but otherwise it's good to go and has the fastest sanest workflow for 75% of the things that you're going to do. it also has the best filters of any image editor. the best filter in paint.net is the "dents" filter. if you use it in combination with crystalize, gauss blur, noise, median, and the plasma clouds, you can achieve any visual effect you want. i made PBR textures for a game that released on steam, and most of the work was done in paint.net.

 â„–24515[Quote]

>>24500
this
just swallow it up and use gimp or k*ita

 â„–24517[Quote]

I dont think i will be able to ditch Paint.NET with another image editor, i use it since i was 9 years old to this day (i use it through virtualbox doe, switched to linux two years ago)

 â„–24524[Quote]

I've used Krita and Gimp a lot but I usually always just default to Gimp. Gimp is the best and only gets better.
