i have 360watt worth of them in my room but i never understood this argument cause my desktop idling at like 70 watts makes my room unbearably hot

anyway the light you get from an incandescent bulb is mostly infrared light, which increases blood flow and "perception of heat" when it hits your skin therefore increasing heating efficiency
