for CRTs don't get anything smaller than 19inch and make sure it has enough horizontal hz to be able to output 1440x1600/75+hz

I mostly agree with this. Glossy is exclusively for touchscreens that need to be smooth to the touch and easy to clean, and big TVs that are far away from your face (You WILL sometimes sneeze in the direction of your display, kill yourself if you think about lying about this) and away from direct sunlight, because the glossy screen is technically better for black levels. But blacks are not the end all be all that retarded people think they are, day to day usability is more important.
