there is a literal screw on a chromebook you can take out (a physical device to prevent android from being removed remotely)
they lose money on their products considering the specs some of them use. for 400 dollars you can get nice specs, pop that screw out and install linux. I havn't done it yet but I was reading up on it. I have a decent 17 inch chromebook I was going to upgrade the ram on and plan on putting some distro into it.
there is a few things that have to be done but it would run way more stable.
keep the computers you dont want hacked offline. simple has. have 2. have a piece of shit not linked to bank accounts or anything you fear losing (photos of family, crypto coins, photos of your drug lab etc) offline and use your shit box for cummunicay
dont use the same email as that of you phone on your offline device (why would you even have it) and dont register it with that email.
it will talk remotely offline using a backdoor bluetooth

don't need something fancy, i saw some used laptops can be easily repaired or uprgraded, so i'll look for a used one

ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 AMD variant

I found:
T14 gen 1 AMD R7 Pro with 24 gb ram for about 300 shekelbergs
T14 gen 3 AMD R7 Pro with 16 gb ram for about 430 shekelsteins

Now I know that the gen 3 AMD ram is soldered, but how much better is the CPU and GPU on the gen 3?

look at used mobile workstations if you need a lot of power. some of them have upgradable gpus

you get the Radeon 680m igpu which is basically a gtx 1650 in terms of performance. the cpu is really fast as well, I'd say a little behind desktop Ryzen 5 5600 performance

Ryzen 4000 has shitty Linux battery life and a much worse igpu and mediocre CPU. Ryzen 6000 series mobile is where AMD began to really fuck intel hard

you can maybe get a decent ram and cpu for that much. but give up otherwise if you are aiming for a decent pc GEG
