How cheap could you theoretically build a PC from on-line parts?

My attempt:

DDR3 4GB 1333: $4.95 on Aliexpress

Lenovo Mini DTX Intel Socket LGA1150 DDR3 SDRAM Motherboard Open Box: $10.00 on Ebay

Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual Core Socket LGA1150 CPU Desktop Processor SR1PK: $5.23 on Ebay

Integrated Graphics: FREE

SanDisk ULTRA 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Memory Stick: $6.14 on Ebay

IWONGOU RM 450W PC PSU Power Supply Unit Black Gaming Quiet 120mm Fan 110V 220V ATX Desktop Computer Power Supply For BTC: $22.76

Total price: $49.08

Used the wrong image, but the model of RAM I packed comes in a sodimm flavour for the same price and capacity.

x86 or x86_64; discrete CPU, mobo, and RAM, can run a desktop operating system

you can probably find an office desktop in a recycling centre for free or scrap price

>>22893 (OP)
you can probably do that for free by searching hard enough

If you want a circa 2008 spec computer like this, all you have to do is go on ebay and find a used thin client, they go for sub-50 dollars all the time. It's the common way to get an cheapass x86 machine at raspberry pi prices. Bonus it will almost definitely run better than this pile of sketchy parts

And btw you can usually find them for like $15 if you're willing to wait for one to crop up
