However, it took literal months to set up a workflow that worked for me and even then installing new software is a pain in the ass as you have to install it into qube templates. Also I can't play video games because they don't run that well in vms.

I'm getting a new computer soon, these are my options:
- stick with windows to make my life easier
- use arch linux
- use cachyos
- use openbsd
- install qubes os again with more advanced security features like heads to mitigate physical tampering
- something else

i do this on arch via wireproxy, which is software that allows you to use wireguard configs as socks5/http proxies
then i set applications that need to use certain VPNs to only connect to the internet with the corresponding proxy

you can use an immutable distro with distrobox to achieve the same thing while having the option to use other sources of software. take a look at fedora silverblue
