i'm thinking about getting a microcontroller board, and the esp32 is currently on my mind. i hear many mention development boards like raspberry pi and arduino, so i'd like to learn what they’re mainly used for since i don’t have any experience with them.

ESP32 is a tad outdated but it'll work for your copy paste ChatGPT projects which you'll never touch again after posting to the Internet

yea esp32 is cheaper and more prevalent than arduino. I used one to connect a chicken door to wifi to get the time from the internet, to close at a certain time.
