Sharty how do i build a pc, ive had a shitty one for like 5 years now and for christmas im trying to build a new one and replace it. I’ve never built one before and dont know how it works and i would appreciate advice or resources on how i can do so.

The first question is the budget and where you live (prices are different by region)

Step 2 is to check if pcpartpicker.com has a local site for your country (if you're not from the US). It compiles all prices for all computer parts for you, much easier than going to 5+ different sites. If that's not available, use whatever price checking website you have.

Ignore this nophono and by an optiplex or something similar and put a used graphics card in it from ebay or facebook or whatever. It's both the easiest and the cheapest. The worst you might have to do is run the computer with the side panel off or buy a front intake fan if it doesn't have one

Buying some office PC and putting in a graphics card totally works, but if op wants to spend more, it's worth building one from scratch which will take more upgrades in the future.

If the budget is limited, upgrading the existing computer is also an option
